Don't blame us for Dean's failure to convince with real voters on election day and then his complete meltdown. And don't blame the networks for showing it over and over.

There is a big difference between righteous anger and completely losing it onstage with the cameras going. If nothing else, it's the opposite of presidential. But the real problem started with Dean blowing it so bad prior to the Iowa voting. He couldn't have done worse things to himself if he had tried. Saying Osama deserved a fair trial, Saddam's capture was nothing, attacking Washington democrats over and over, etc.

That's why, deep down, I think he has a psychological problem. It's normal human nature, but sometimes when people rise too far too fast and know they're over their heads, they self-destruct. Dean knew he could never beat Bush. He saw the polls in NH showing him 20% behind Bush in that neighbor state. He did not want to go down as another Dukakis (who is now a shell of a man, in sad shape). Therefore subconsciously, he self-destructed. He wasn't even aware of what he was doing until it had been done. But now it's done and Dean is over. I feel sorry for him, but it takes a real experienced veteran to be ready to win the biggest job on earth. Even Al Gore self-destructed and wasn't ready.

Bush wouldn't have gotten there without the help of Cheney, his father and a huge united GOP machine. Clinton got there for the same reason Kerry will get there, that ever since he was a teenager he knew that someday he'd be president. Both channeled the spirit of JFK for some reason. That gave them the outrageous courage necessary. Edwards has it too, but it's too early for him. He's a perfect Veep. He may be president in 2012. Of all of them John Kery is ready to be president. He's entirely sure of himself. He knows. Early on that was taken as arrogance. The public made him earn it again. Now he has earned it and will continue to.

Unlike most on these threads I have actually spent time with the candidate talking face to face. Looking into Kerry's eyes and talking him you just know he knows. It took awhile for the public to figure it out but now they have. Kerry will win the nomination by a landslide then beat GW Bush. It will be a collosal and tremendously positive accomplishment. He will go on to be one of our greatest presidents. His great accomplishments will be to get us off oil dependence, make special interest lobbyist money almost illegal and to make health care much cheaper. He may do a lot more if he has the time. Frankly, my one worry is that the right-wing will assassinate him, or cheat at the polls in November again. Those are distinct possibilities. If that happens we could have an upheavel in this country bordering on civil war. Don't expect the Bushies to take defeat. They will do anything to stay in power. That's why we all have to taike our country back now. Kerry's stature and war heroism makes this possible since it will immunize him from 75% of the Bushie attacks.
