Under Clinton, we had the longest peacetime expansion; one of the lowest unemployment rates since WW II and the lowest percentage of people on welfare, and all you can say is that the recession started in the last year of his tenure.

Not sure any of that is true. However, we DID have the biggest scandal since Watergate, we DID have the sale of pardons to the highest bidder, and we DID find our foreign policy in a horrible state of crisis when he finally cleared out -- taking the White House household furnishings with him.
