I would have expected that if the keys were contiguous but they're not. It is strange that a half dozen non-contiguous keys would be affected. It is also strange that they would work intermittently. As you can see, they're working again this morning.

I hate hardware problems. Software problems I can cope with, but not hardware. They make my teeth hurt. My plan is to send the computer off on Monday so I won't be without it as long as if I sent it before the weekend.

So that I'm not too far off topic here, <g> I had a lovely chat with a Dell employee or contractor in what I guess from the accent was India. He spent nearly half an hour with me working through his checklist, most of which I had already tried but that's the way it goes. Anyway, several times he told me to take my time. No way Dell could pay US wages for that.
