Dan, and others, I am going to respond to Dan's post on the Zthread about Zport restructuring.
here are my thoughts:
1. I truly hope the Zport will continue and return to its original roots. Ron and Dan have given us great insight into their personal trading styles, and we should appreciate that. But such levels of activity may not be appropriate for a portfolio of many.
2. I suggest that we terminate the old Zport. The port is dead, long life the port.
3. I suggest that we give each person who wishes to participate in the new zport $100,000 of play money. And we each can invest that money any way we wish. It is our own personal responsiblity to stay within the money available for our own personal portfolio. If the 100 grows to 150, then you have 150 to play with. If it shrinks, c'est la vie.
4. I would support Ron and Dan starting with 200K each, given their level of activity.
5. A weekly summary showing subportfolios with the master portfolio would be wonderful, if Dan or someone is willing to do it. Maybe each of us would provided a weekly summary of our trades.
6. The combined portfolio would still show investment returns, both for individual participants and tht total port.
7. Hopefully, we each could post some of the reasons for our entrances and exits from the trades and why the stock is of interest, either fundamentally, technically, or both.
8. I look forward to the possibilities of more ideas and more people. larry
