As Larry said, the purpose of this thread is to post trading ideas. It isn't to pump one's long or short position. Would you like to post a trade? If not, please take a hike.

There's nothing silly about my prediction in 1999. That was during a very bullish time for the market. Stocks were being bid up to ridiculous prices, and fundamentally, Matrixx (then Gum Tech) had a very large nicotine gum contract on the horizon with Swedish Match, and yes, I thought that sales of Zicam would grow faster than they did primarily because the company thought that they would sell it internationally in 2000. Many things have changed since 1999, not the least of which is selling the gum business, focusing on building the Zicam brand, and changing the name of the company to Matrixx. One thing that hasn't changed is your infatuation with shorting this company's stock without regard for any of the changes that the company has undergone. You haven't heard me suggest that MTXX would trade to 100 anytime in the last four years, so your posting it shows just how silly you are, not me. In fact, I recommended lightening up on trading positions in MTXX between 18 and 20 a few weeks ago, which is precisely what I did with the stock in this portfolio and my own account. At any rate, if MTXX were trading at a valuation that was in-line with the health care sector, the stock would be over 50 today. No, I'm not predicting that it will get to 50, but it sure as heck is worth more than 14, which is less than 25% of its growth the last two years.
