Since Hoover personally saved the Kennedy Administration from a potentially damaging Congressional investigation, I doubt that he would plot to kill the President a couple months later (especially since he had all the information he needed, on the personal habits of the President, to keep his job safe). As far as the Texas oilmen theory, former members of the KGB has admitted making that story up.
All the evidence still points to a single gunman. In order for a "government" conspiracy to work, you have to have a conspiracy and coverup made up of: members of President Kennedy's personal staff, the Vice President and members of his staff, the Attorney General and members of his staff (Robert Kennedy), other members of the President's family (to accept the official findings), the Chief Justice of the United States (Earl Warren), President Ford, the Director of the FBI and other members of the FBI, Organized Crime figures, the CIA, the Dallas Police....all right wingers? I don't think so. |
