I was not inconsistent, I showed that it was not inconsistent, and I got no apology. To note that we are in a poor position to judge independently the work that has been done by the intelligence services, not being privy to their sources and analyses, is not the same as not being able to express an opinion differing from that of a single official who himself expresses as speculative opinion a view on the possibility of finding WMD's. Furthermore, my disagreement was based on material he himself had brought to light about the possibility of shipments over the border, which came from interrogation and was verified in part by satellite photos and other means of surveillance.
