Everyone I knew in Vietnam wanted out ASAP and by hook or by crook, especially if one was one of the many who were against the war. This is one of those "what goes around, comes around" things. Kerry is the one who keeps bringing up his record of service in VietNam. So, it's fair game. Especially because he's on record for sneering at Dubya for - heh, heh, getting out of pulling a complete tour of duty. Gotcha?
