Given that Kerry voted in support of the authorization for war against Iraq - and given, that as a United States Senator it was his duty, not the duty of the President, to declare war - shouldn't you be asking why Kerry isn't saying "mea culpa"? Doesn't the buck stop with the party that took the act (authorizing the use of force)?

Please note that I am not arguing that Congress is solely responsible for the war against Iraq, but that the President has his job and the Congress has theirs. Kerry is now arguing that Bush "fucked up" the war in Iraq - is he now saying that he would have done a better job of waging the war, or that he made a mistake voting for it? Or does he just want the luxury of blaming Bush for the bad parts but personally taking credit for the good parts?
