The fact is, that when Dixiecrats were Democrats, the South was more racist than the rest of the Country. As they became Republican, and the South became Republican, the South became less segregated than Democratic Strongholds. In otherwords, Republicans promised less, but delivered more (equality to African Americans). Democrats promised more, but delivered less. But then again, you probably already knew that.

The plan fact of the matter, is that a Republican in Georgia has more to be proud about in regards to race relations, than a Democrat in Minnesota.
