Filippo,

If SRAM prices in the far east are rising, that is the leading edge indicator of prices everywhere. Although Cypress tries to make larger and more complex SRAMs, and to stay out of the PC market if they can, you are right that rising prices for commodity SRAMs is good for CY. This is excellent news for Cypress; Since CY is the best managed SRAM producer (IC producer?), and they made a profit when no one else could in 1996, expect them to do better than the rest as margins improve.

Interesting that the SRAM companies got sold off along with the DRAM companies with the Micron downgrading - Some of that may have been short traders who don't know the difference!... Jim
