Personal attacks on a great favorite populist president's family really stinks. The right-wing not only condoned the murder of the Kennedys and ML King by never accepting any responsibility for it, and helping to cover it up with the lone nut theory, but now they continue to lay down personal attacks on his kin.

Teddy may have been guilty of involuntary manslaughter. He may play around and drink. It may be unfair he never got convicted for anything. But the rich get off lightly in this country. GW Bush was never prosecuted for insider trading at Harken, never put in the brig for going AWOL, and was reportedly let out of a cocaine bust in 1972 as well. Neil Bush never went to prison for Silverado S+L. Jeb's shady deals never got him busted. Bush Sr. is never investigated for his Bin Lauden contacts. That's just the way rich political families are in this country.

Bottomline though, the right-wing ought to respect the memory of a slain president, just the way they asked liberals to with the Reagan TV movie. Reagan was no saint either and has plenty of skeletons n his closet, but let's call it a truce. Unless you want to get into who the main suspects are for the JFK, RFK and ML King murder, and how some of them may still be at work in the neo right wing movement.
