heinz is great with the historical stuff and I don't know how many times I have heard the warnings about a liquidity crunch from a bunch of folks...this ain't the 70's. richard russell some time ago posted a chart of homestake mining in the 20's and 30's. IMHO that is a much more relevant historical comparison. the chart was basically straight up, although it did have a dip in the 29 crash.
