according chinese story, Badi and Thucte were two well known critics of the Chou king, when the King refused to
reform. These two resigned and went into the mountains to live on the fruits and vegetables that they gathered. They refused to eat the rice grown by Chou farmers. Some skeptics said that all the land even in the mountain area were belonged to the Chou !!! so these two fellows fasted to death .... they were trying to show their integrity and also to the skeptics that they were old fool ???
