True. The German government didn't outline its Iraq case as detailed as the US one. Chancellor Schröder relied on polls with a clear majority of the population opposing the Iraq war, like in most other European countries including Britain, Spain and Italy. Being no foreign policy strategist Schröder joined France and Russia which opposed the war for other reasons.
