fight its way out of a wet paper bag (Afghanistan) using
conventional old rusty equipment & unpayed troops.

The USA went into Afghanistan with crisp new $100 bills
& troops having new high tech weapons and kicked butt.

Into Iraq, a two finger shot of the hard stuff.
Inside Iraq, the two fingers slipped inside with no effort.

Reality Check: re: Vietnam
My tour there in 67-69 started 2 weeks before that campaign
called Teck or something that described a holiday there,
and that defeat for the north was described as a total failure
in the military arena, but a brilliant political victory that demostrated
in clear terms to the USA populace that they will never fulfill
their quest as an invading army to place those people having
a thousand years of unbroken history to make an foreign
occupation suffer without end, no matter the length or space
controled by them, they will never walk in safety, and forever
they will need to send in more of its youth of boys into men
to meet death away from their home that has no threat from
that foreign land, except when they leave home and the land
of their USA country and arrive in another foreign land with gun
locked & loaded to protect themselves by pointing it towards
the citizens of that foreign land, all in the name to "free" them.

About the rate American troops died in Vietnam per day?
The pain is low outside the families of those 250.
The American plan is based on a 4 year cycle.
The time for the usa prez to get relected.
Iraq has no time table, only thousands of years of history,
and another thousand years of history to be made.
If prez bush gets relected,
Iraq will run in blood,
and the USA will run away later than sooner.
If prez bush don't get elected,
the USA will run away sooner than later.
Either way,
new crisp $100 bills used years ago
will have been spent
and replaced with new crisp $100 bills
unable to do any more damage.
