Steve, This has been one of the best investments I ever made. Bought Cpq after I bought a Compaq, & my company bought compaqs. We just ungraded the system with compaq servers, and desktops. Unfortionately, portables with docking stations went to another company. Would like to see them improve in that area. However, the $40 a share I first paid have been very very good to me:>) Only silly thing I did was to sell calls twice. once at $50, called at $55. Bought back in at $50 & doubled the # of shares. Not bad for a country boy learning the option market. Second time sold calls at $80, thinking they would not jump $30 in six months. Ate 60% of the call options. Bought more shares at $96. It has been a wild ride up. I am trying to construct some LEAPS strategy at this point. Not doing too well at it right now. If cpq goes to $50(!!!) I will load up for a short term play on top of my long term shares. Do you think I like this stock??? Incidently, I work for a large international company, & we reengineered. No more main frame, Just Compaq servers. I like my IT department.
Larry
