Well AS, I saw John Zogby on Wall street week last night (the show on PBS that used to have Rukeyser, stupid show but I was cooking and couldn't change the channel). Zogby said what I also know to be true. That republicans are in real trouble, based on a perception that the workers and middle class are losing out to the priviledged/monied class. He said that in early 02, over 50% of voters defined themselves as a member of the "investor class", either primarily or peripherally. Now, less than 30% do- this figure has been cut in half in only a year. Zogby credits the fear of job loss among middle class voters and a sense that upper management doesn't care about them anymore. Zogby says republicans are in more trouble than they know on this matter. Terrorism wasn't mentioned.

I agree completely with Zogby. It always comes down to the economy.
