AS,

I listened to the other Kerry describe what happend to his unit in Vietnam & I don't consider it an atrocity. It was self-defense. When you're fighting for your life against unscrupulous opponent--if you start acting like Mother Teresa--your dead.

Two wrongs don't make a right.
Kerry was wrong to slander American GIs(while gaining national prominence and parlaying it into congressional seat) and Bush was wrong to not fulfill his National Guard commitment at the time. They both acted irresponsibly.

I've heard questions re Kerry returning from Vietnam in order to run for political office & when it didn't materialize, he joined Jane Fonda's war protesters. He threw other soldiers medals on WH lawn & has his in desk drawer at home.

Bush used daddy's influence to take the easy way out. Neither man acted very admirably at the time; although, Kerry did put his life on line which trumps Bush.
Sorry though, I can't get past his habit of marrying wealthy women, especially Teresa who's just as politically ambitious as he is & would be a disaster as First Lady.
