That's BS. John is very different than Teddy. They're two different kinds of men completely. John is self-made for one thing. despite his great schooling he never had a rich daddy to help him out, nor a powerful family. He learned a lot from Teddy but stayed quite separate from him. That also applies to their personal habits. Kerry has never been a degenerate drinker or womanizer. He has worked very hard and earned his way. He is also more courageous than Teddy. One a war hero, the other a man who never served. John has never run away from a fight or blamed someone else for his troubles in his life. It's all about character.
