Credit card processor planning first job cuts in 20 years macon.com Posted on Sat, Jan. 31, 2004 COLUMBUS, Ga. - One of Columbus' largest employers, credit-card processor TSYS, is planning the first job cuts in its 20-year history, although the scope of the reduction has not been decided, a company spokesman said. TSYS, which employs about 5,200 in this west Georgia city, is "in the process of evaluating every job within the company to make certain that it's necessary and that we have the right person in that job," spokesman Eric Bruner said Friday.
