Another example of the socialist conceit that poverty is somehow a direct result of capitalism, or markets in general , or that poverty is something that "just happens" to people, like a natural disaster.

Why then is there still massive poverty in Cuba, North Korea, or China? What poverty remains in the US could hardly be spoken of in the same breath as the poverty and famine intentionally created by socialist rulers. These are nations that have chosen to not respect economic liberty. These are nations that plan economic disasters out of existence, supposedly.

Perhaps such societies are the ideal for the Marxists at Monthly Review? Ha...not even Marx was myopic enough to call himself a Marxist.
