Ted, Secondly, those terrorist groups cited in the article were based in the north of Iraq in the Kurdish section.
I'm sure most were, but Baghdad was still harboring and supporting terrorists themselves. Plus, why no mention of $25K for the family of every Palestinian suicide bomber? That was pretty public, wasn't it?
First and foremost, the link to al Qaeda was given as the reason to attack not that saddam gave out $25k stipends. Too many in the ME give out stipends to the suicide bombers. Are we to start a war with all of them?
There are many other points in that article that you fail to address. Not that I expected you to, since there are just too many. But of course, it's NRO, a well-known rag for the VRWC, so obviously they're making this s--- up, right? ;-)
I don't think they make up. I just think their standards are low. If it fits their image of the world and it will protect their president, they will publish it. How many times did FOX report that WMDs had been found only to have it turn out to be a mistake?
One of the pieces of evidence cited in the NRO article is Salman Pak, allegedly a training center for terrorists hijackers. NRO cites it as evidence of a Saddam/al Qaeda link. Only problem......most intel reports suggest the center was not used after 1992. That's why the White House hasn't hitched its star to this wagon or did you think the WH overlooked this tidbit?
When I did a google search on Salman Pak, the only real links were NRO and Rush. There's a reason for that exclusive club and its not due to mainstream censorship as the right would have us believe.
The question is......why does someone like you still read it?
When they're not making up wild theories of European invasions, they're a great source of facts that you won't normally find in the mainstream press.
The reason you don't find those "facts" in the mainstream press is because they are not facts. They are allegations that usually don't pan out.
