Khang what you post here is half truth. I heard Kerry explain this on TV and hence do not have to rely on others' posts. He said that his staff just got the Chinese person an interview with the SEC. He did not influence the SEC. When they found out Chung's relation to these elements, his campaign returned the money. Pretty bold is it not?

We have been to our Senator's offices, is it not. Their staff does all these favors don't they. Some immigrant wants to bring his/her family for a visit but is experiencing securing a visa and seeks help from the Senator's office. And the staff obliges. Some scientist needs help from the patent office. they approach their Senator or congressman who in turn put them in touch with the right folks.

So what is the big deal here. It is not like the deferred compensation from Halliburton is it? it is not overcharging the US Govt for a exclusive no bid contract.
