That is because the cultural elite here comes from a Xtian background- and most people examine most critically those stimuli which have affected them. Rather than being some bizarre plot, it seems completely natural to me. For example, you examine your relationship to your own parents, and find the faults with them, rather than going up and down the street and evaluating what the potential impact might have been on you if you had had the neighbor kid's mom and dad.

Far from being an example of multiculturalism, I'd say this is just a natural example of the way people think.

But if you prefer to believe the bete noir of multiculturalism is the explanation, I certainly don't expect to change your mind, or anyone else's.
