Rather than being some bizarre plot,

I have never seen it as a "plot." No "Conspiracy Theories" for me. The desire to parody your Culture is normal. But there is a difference between parody and active dislike.

But the refusal to criticize other Cultures is not normal. The reverse is true. Instinctively, you like and defend your Culture and are wary of others.

Ours is the only Culture in the world where the "Creative Elite" dislike the Culture. And teach that dislike to their students if they are Academics.
