Here's something we don't see often. Dr. Rebecca Caffrey, a co-author of the Ho paper in which they thought they had found the factor common to asymptomatic HIV positive folks -- and which was subsequently retracted, due to a problem in sample prep -- speaks out on the Yahoo message board.

Her post nicely makes the case for situations in which SELDI is superior to standard MS -- those in which sensitivity, not resolution, is paramount because the sample is small, for example . . .
