Excellent remarks about price points

I think you hit it dead on the nail. Syquest should lower the drive prices but it is a competitive world and you still got to make a buck. Bundling an extra cartridge helps reduce the price point for the initial purchae of a Syjet.

Syquest has lost the consumer removable war. It has got to make permanent beachhead in the professional market with their upcoming Rocket and higher capacity EZ flyers. I still think a higher capacity EZ Flyer could become a hit with home power users as applications and OS gets larger and larger. If they could underprice the Zip, this would hem the Jazz between Syjet and the EZ Flyer.

Let's say you want to install MS Office which is at least 200 MB install. If an EZ Flyer had capacity of 810 and drive price point of $199 with cartridges selling at $20.00 this could be a big hit with power consumers. Thoughs??
