Ted, It was rhetoric that got us into this mess in the first place..........anti terrorist rhetoric to be exact! The war on terrorism only accounts for part of the budget deficit. Massive increases in social spending account for the rest. Of course Bush isn't calling any attention to that, given that he's trying to pass off big social spending programs as his own achievements.
