As long as there are apparently eager buyers for US debt, the heat is off, and the party goes on. Let foreigners buy the paper at ridiculous interest rates, and a declining principle.

Whatever comes out of this upcoming G7 meeting will set the course. Judging by Gold's action recently, people are betting for smooth sailing and continued international support for the dollar. Seems like more of the same is in store for the near future. But things can change, like price shocks to the economy, which is Russ's argument.

The last act of desperation will be when the FED buys US government paper. Until then, the party goes on.
