I'll second your predictions and add one or two: if Kerry or some other Democrat is elected in Nov, and the US is asked to leave and does so, the Democrats will be blamed for being too soft. Or some such thing.

And they will be blamed for anything bad that happens afterward, including a civil war or a balkanization of the country, if it comes to that (events which seem to me as likely if not more likely than any other).

If Bush is reelected and these bad things happen, it will be the fault of those who didn't stand behind him 100%.
