Scenario 2: Bush doesn't invade Iraq, just lets the containment mess fester. Let's assume the containment holds and doesn't break down totally (causing a cascade of "I told you so"s from the same people now complaining) before Nov 2004.

In light of 9/11...If the Bush administration hadn't made an issue of Iraq's multiple UN violations, his opponent probably would have during the run up to the 2004 election.

I can't even imagine living in a world like the one I knew pre 03/19/03. In that regard, with Saddam out of power, I feel much safer...which makes Dean wrong.
