Actually not by AOL. "Ken" from Bangalore (not Maine)was no better or worse then Ken from Columbus might have been. "Ken" who sounded more like Peter Sellers doing an imitation of an Indian trying to sound like someone from Ohio, went through a list of the most obvious remedies that was of no help. The most annoying part of the conversation was when this connection went via satellite, and there was a delay as our conversation was bouncing over numerous satellites.

My problem, however, turned out to be from my telephone company. They turned on my DSL connection a week before they told me they would. So when I tried to dial up AOL, I couldn't sign on. I should have connected my DSL filter when I installed my DSL modem. I had more trouble understanding Louie from my telephone company, who was native born, than I did with Ken from Bangalore.

So it goes.
