Surely, Saddam has an excuse for gassing Kurds as well. Something that probably goes along the lines of "Things could have been much worse if I didn't immediately end the Kurds' uprising" or something.

Personally, I think there is no excuse for mass killing of civilians, even in wartime, no matter what the circumstances.

Not that it matters. The statement to which I responded was "Iraq is the only country that ever used WMDs". I pointed out that is wrong, as anyone who has ever heard of Hiroshima and/or Nagasaki is aware of.

Deal with it, really...
