Andrew: Since I left Amex 3 years ago many changes have taken place. There is an Anti-trust lawsuit filed against Mastercard and Visa by the Justice Department that should have a ruling coming out soon. If they rule in favor of American Express and Discover, cards can be issued by those entities via banks (Just like Visa and Mastercard do now) ....If that happens it is estimated that if Amex. secures just 5% of that market they will double their revenue..(I'll let you guess the potential of that ruling) Also I would look for a potential split to come up soon. p.s. I bought this stock at $22 and was told it was overvalued at $40
