The temporary measures we've had to take in war in order to reduce the threat of another 9/11 are not unlike others taken anywhere in the world in time of national emergency. If Cli'ton had been doing his job, none of this would have happened.

Am I "better off" now than 4 years ago? Four years ago, 9/11 hadn't happened. The bubble was still intact. I think the likelihood that I'll be flying in a jet or sitting in a crowded theater that might be the target of terrorists is a lot lower.

Mostly, I'm confident that now, compared to 4 years ago, there's an Administration in place that is serious about dealing with those who would make us all live in fear and terror. I understand and accept that there's a cost to doing that.

I think that not only am I "better off," but the whole world is, one dirty little cave or spider hole at a time.
