Mr. Enron Ed Gillespie is now defending Bush for going AWOl in 1972. This is not good for the Bush-Cheney campaign. As DEan just proved, no matter how much money you have, you can lose very quickly once the public decides they've seen enough of you. Now that conservatives are going in the chorus of disgusted voices against Bush-Cheney, that team may be history. I'm sure many in the GOP wish they could jurry up and run McCain-Hagel or some such honest war hero ticket to defend the White House, but it's really too late.
