The British made the 45 minute attack window the centerpiece of their reason to go to war, and used the technicality that it was a value given to them by the Americans. The Bush league used the uranium imports and impending mushroom cloud as the reason for war, and used the technicality that it was an item that the British had learned. It appears to not have been an accident that both governments tried for plausible deniability over the lies that launched so many to their deaths.
