You guys do realize that this is a rumor action??? Right?-Do not use the milk money okay!!-I love the company and I love the action of the tape!!I'm not 100% sure if it is the GTE speculation that is motivating this ascent or what...With that said ,YES I WOULD BE INCLINED TO LOAD UP HERE ON OCT. CALLS!!-The coppergold chip is due out on Oct. 9th and although not critical for AMTX's modem (they can use Ti chip also which is out in beta form now!) it(coppergold-CG) has been anticipated for so long that it should cause a big move as everyone starts to realize that this technology is going to happen.ADSL solves all kinds of bandwidth problems without having for the telco's to upgrade to fiber which would cost many billions of dollars...This thing works good on ordinary copper lines that in most cases needs no special conditioning!!- You just know that the phone companies will not stand by and watch the cable companies get a big head start with ISDN via cable when they have a relative cheap and very viable alternative!!!-100 to 150 times faster downloads of information coming into your machine and about 25 to 50 times faster on info leaving your machine and going upstream!!-That is why it is called asymetric digital subscriber lines(ADSL)The different speeds downstream vs. upstream! BTW-Rumorville has GTE being a possible takeover target of AT&T!!Who'd of thunk it??-Actually makes since as AT&T has been sitting on their hands and having their Butts(sorry for the highly technical terms) handed to them and GTE is quite progressive...They will be the first to offer ADSL in the US, and already they are offering it in Canada via BCTEL 51% owned by GTE!-They are using AMTX!! For a thorough knowledge of the technology and the companies involved visit the AMTX thread but be prepared to wade through some really obnoxious shorts that take exception with everyone who has any thing positive to say over there!!Several are being booted from SI for using multiple aliases and refusing to provide a cancelled check to the webmasters and they are claiming it is a conspiracy and crying like babies...it is really kinda of humorous if it was not so pathetic!
