Have you seen any meaningful discussion of the "spring offensive" supposedly coming up in Afghanistan? A lot of speculation, and we will never know the truth, or close to it. The two "inside" attempts to kill Musharref have forced him over to us. I wouldn't be surprised if some of his guards now are SF guys. I know that the Paks went back to the old ways and told the Mountain Tribes to hand over about 72 guys we and the Paks wanted. We got 42 of them from the Tribes so far. We are obviously going to mount an attack in the mountains, using a lot of Delta, SF people, plus normal troop backup. I think we and the Paks will lie about exactly where our troops are. Borders in that area are a joke, anyway. Richard Halloran, the ex-Times reporter who lives in Honolulu, and sells to the local paper, created an uproar in Korea with this article last Friday. Message 19756707 I found out tonight that this article created a firestorm in the South Korean Government. Halloran has damn good sources, and they fed him speculation. Some is going to happen.
