One of the things I really admire about Bush is that he doesn't bad-mouth people (well, except for Saddam Hussein). I truly despise the politics of personal destruction. There are a lot of conservatives that rub me the wrong way for that reason, like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter. Some admire attack politics, it seems. That seems to be why the front-runners in the race for Democrat presidental candidacy are getting a lot of mileage out of attacking Bush, personally. I don't think it's presidential. The President will be President of all the people, not just the ones who elected him. Clinton didn't do it, Bush pere didn't do it, Reagan didn't do it, on and on. The only one I know did it was Nixon and he did it in private. Carter can be quite sharp in his criticisms these days but he wasn't a proponent of personal destruction when he was President.
