Mel Gibson is going to cut the Caiphas blood libel bit from The Passion. At least, that's what his organization is saying. I know he said he would do it before. It's just too controversial and this is not a good time for it. I expect it will be on the Director's Cut DVD some day, along with the option to watch without subtitles.

It's funny, the Hollywood types are saying that nobody is going to see the movie. I think that's similar to saying that nobody was going to vote for Reagan. Probably won't do well with the all important 18 to 34 year old fans of action movies, but every Christian church goer I know is looking forward to it, all of whom are deeply sympathetic to Jews and Israel.
