Hey Eddie,

It looks like you tweaked that Babble Tape machine of yours.

Way to go.

I still can't figure out what it does but I'm glad to see
you are getting some use out of it. Keep working at it.

Do you know what other useless machine I really like?

Maybe you've seen them over in your country.

Here, you'll find them at many tourist sites or game arcades.
It's a machine where you insert one quarter and one penny.
Then you crank this large handle and it flattens out that
penny turning it into a oblong thin medallion you can wear
around your neck.

Not bad.

For 26 cents it mashes your penny for you and people are
lined up to give it a try.

In my mind that inventor discovered perfection.

Think about it.

He can build thousands of these things and never has to
restock them. It requires no electricity since part of the
fun is cranking that handle. It makes you feel like you
are the fine craftsman behind that piece of copper jewelry.

If you saw those squashed pennies in a jewelry store, you
would never think of buying one. But since you are the one
cranking the handle, you become proud enough of it to put
it on a chain and wear it, thus displaying your talents as
a copper smith/jeweler.

So you are probably wondering what my point is...

If you can make that useless machine of yours something
people can somewhat understand, you might be on your way to
creating perfection. Even if it doesn't do anything but
squash the money in someone's trading account, you will
have folks lined up to crank it's handle.

So keep fine tuning that machine of yours and add some more
bells and whistles. Maybe an animated gif file or two of
gears turning.

Let the user push a few buttons or something.
Then, when he loses some money he will feel as if he's part
of the creative process...
