Around here we keep hearing about the all powerful teacher unions, the lazy overpaid teachers, etc., from folks who think their school taxes are too high and that other folks should pay to send their (the complainers') children to private schools.
Most of us on SI (myself included) aren't about to take the pay cut that teaching would entail. My hat's off to you and the others who do.
