I;m sorry to take so long to reply, Coug, but I know you will understand when I tell you I've been working with a group of high schoolers on a musical. There is something so wonderful about being around teenagers-- especially a group of really NICE ones. I miss having kids around since mine have gone off and this new accompanying career is giving me wonderful enthusiasm and optimism fixes. Otherwise I find myself feeling terribly old and useless. The two things that bothered me about Celestine Ps were: the writing was terrible I just couldn't buy into vibrating myself into invisibility When I read that this guy had a magazine and a cult following, it bothered me. That is VERY neat about your going to Peru though! And I will remain open in case you actually DO receive a prophecy. Remember when everyone was saying that books were going to become obsolete? I have found I can't read books on line. I have to hold a book in my hands. Also I do most of my reading in bed or in a chair by the window. Maybe if I had a laptop, it would be easier. I just stayed up late last night reading a beautifully written, touching little book called Shadow Baby by Allison McGhee. Want to recommend it to X for her reading list. Now am starting Donna Tartt's latest, The LIttle Friend. It;s very heavy. Literally. 640 pages. It took her ten years to write this after her bestseller, A Secret History which I found dark but interesting. Unfortunately I just looked and the reviews are NOT good.
