WHY I HATE GEORGE W. BUSH AND AMERICA
The Lonely Lament of a Liberal Democrat
I hate George Bush because he is President and I have been taught from birth that the Democrat party is the Government Party and that we have a right to govern in this country.
I believe it is the absolute right of liberal elites to know best what's good for all people. I believe it is our right to redistribute income from producers to wards of the state. I believe it is always necessary to maintain dependency for millions of people as justification for the Government Party. Political scientists call this buying votes. I call it the ends justifying the means.
I hate America because George Bush is President. I hate a powerful country that has the arrogance to defend itself against those who wish to destroy our way of life. How dare George Bush fail to understand the underlying causes of terrorism?
I hate America because we dared stand alone in the face of instructions given to us by France, Germany, and Russia. I hate a country that will not submit to the will of Asians, Africans, Europeans, and Middle Easterners who wish us harm.
I hate America because we have the gall to liberate people suffering under tyranical regimes. I hate that we stop mass murder, rape, and torture in countries where neither the dictators nor the UN has invited us.
I hate Bush and America because I am faced with a nuclear winter of four more years of the same. I am frightened and depressed by a President that has wrecked everything ever built in America's history. In three years he has destroyed it all and given those already bent on destroying us even more reason to fear us.
I am hounded by the Patriot Act, I have lost my job and I envy the 95% of Americans who are working. I see only gloom and despair and I resent that the economy is strong and growing without me. It angers me that 15 million Americans have shouldered responsibility for their own fate and have become self employed or small business owners in the last few years. I want everyone in trouble to do nothing and demand the government take care of them.
I could cry when I think of Bush as a successful Commander-in-Chief when my candidate joined Jane Fonda to trash his own country and military, and has since voted for 20 years against all the major defensive systems we now employ. I want a President who hates America's strength and power as much as I do.
I find myself miserable all the time, hunkered down in a spidey hole with little food, no clean water or air, no job, no social security, no health insurance, and no retraining programs. Everything I relied on has been cut by Bush. He is so despicable, he even won't let me legally marry the mate of my choice.
In this grey, drab nuclear winter I call America, I see only suffering, pain, tears, and grief. My sole consolation is that I still have the right to kill my unborn child. It also gives me some comfort to remain a Democrat and to hold onto my beliefs. |
