>>Regarding Edwards, the Democrats are looking for a war hero over that of a mill worker since they know that Bush is going to play up the security and defence factor and Edwards does not have a record to show over that of Kerry's.<<

The Dems will be shocked at how their perceived 'war hero' turns quickly into a radical Fonda war protester in eyes of the public once Bush Campaign begins it's onslaught in earnest against Kerry as nominee.

If Gen Clark endorses Edwards(with Secy of Defense position in mind) that will give Edwards as nominee the necessary self-defense credentials to compete with Bush.
In same way, Bush Campaign strategized that Colin Powell as Secy of State would defuse wide-spread crticism of Bush's military record & enhance his national security stature in 2000.

>>Kerry has already started to talk like Dean but also with the status of a war hero. Question we need to ask is: what is more important, to get Dean into the White House or to get Bush out of the White House. If we cannot get Dean into the White House then at least let us try to get Bush out of the White House.<<

It doesn't trouble you that your chosen candidate easily parrots another candidate's message without at least acknowledging the other person's courage to confront the opposition when Kerry himself was busily accepting Wash lobbyist campaign contributions while going along with Bush Adm?? Ask yourself if that lack of character is what we want in a potential Pres nominee.
