Gus, What change did Reagan make, other than spending generations into debt and continuing the firmness of American Presidents toward Soviet aggression? True, he armed Osama and the Taliban to give the Russkies a hard time in Afghanistan, but that has not been an unmixed blessing. And all of our Presidents have supported sleazeballs who hate our enemies. Nah, the death of Brezhnev, followed by the quick deaths of Andropov and Chernenko, left the hard-line Commies rudderless. Unless Ronnie had those guys killed, he was just sitting there waiting for the old timers to go.
