In universities we were required to take military education - all graduates of russian universities were supposed to be officers in reserve. They introduced my brother (I was in high school at the time) to a new mobile ICBM that was so secret that he was not supposed know anything about it, not even how it looks (what an effective commander he would become)<GGG>. And he would not know how it would look if anyone would not bring smuggled Times magazine with an article that featured many pictures of that ICBM. His instructor had a fit and that particular magazine was confiscated and classified <gggg> BTW that couple of years before USSR collapsed and way after khruschev
