re: I understand, but in the context of the earlier discussion, the number of patents an individual has can be considered a measure of creative ability...... perhaps but from my very limited personal experience my more creative work (that is relative to the rest of my work and may not be considered creative at all) is not patentable and the things we patent are far less creative but easier to defend. Patents are done for business consideration rather than creative ones. Having said that, your argument is not without validity
